Brief History of Geek and Gorgeous
Geek and Gorgeous is a Hungarian skincare brand that was founded in 2015 by Peter Budahaz and Judit Rácz. The brand focuses on the transparency of ingredients and affordability. Judit Rácz, a computer scientist turned cosmetic formulator, came up with the concept of the brand, the products, and the active ingredients they should use, while Helia D-D helps to bring the products to life. The brand offers a range of skincare products, including exfoliants, serums, and moisturizers, that are formulated with high-quality ingredients to address various skin concerns. As stated on their site, “We create products with clinically proven actives in cosmetically elegant formulas that are fragrance (artificial or natural), colorant and drying alcohol-free. “ Basically they are everything I enjoy about a brand.
Claims on Geek & Gorgeous C-Glow 15% Vitamin C Serum from their site
According to their website C-Glow , it is “A super-light, water-like 15% Vitamin C + extra antioxidants (Ferulic Acid & a smaller amount of Vitamin E) formula to give the skin environmental protection, boost collagen & even the skin tone.”
Skin concern: dark spots, aging, dull & uneven skin
Product is : Cruelty-free | Vegan | Fragrance & Essential oil free | Gluten-free | Malassezia-safe | Pregnancy-safe
• “Pure Vitamin C (or Ascorbic Acid) is a 3-in-1, clinically proven superstar that gives the skin environmental protection (antioxidant), boosts the skin’s own collagen production and fades hyperpigmentation. This water-light formula contains 15% Vitamin C & extra antioxidants to give a healthy glow, even and firm the skin.”
•” The disadvantage of pure Vitamin C is that it is super unstable, and hard to formulate with. This formula uses a low pH and extra antioxidants to help to stabilize Vitamin C, but even like this, C-Glow comes only with a couple of months shelf-life.”
Most l-ascorbic vitamin C’s i have tried in the past have gone “bad” in less than 2 months of use. The magic is that each batch is made fresh and shipping to the US is super fast!

My experience
I’ve used this vitamin C for the past 3 years, and it is one of the best. For one it has all the best ingredients to make it the most effective. My skin looks brighter and healthier after using it. And, I feel it helps reduce any old acne marks. Also, my skin feels smoother. It sinks in super fast and makes it easy to apply my SPF and makeup on top without affecting anything. I’ve used a handful of other vitamin Cs over the years but this is my favorite, and the fact it is at a very reasonable price makes it even better. The most amazing thing about it is it is the longest-lasting vitamin C I ever bought before it oxidizes. It can last up to 6 months in the fridge before it changes colors. I think it is attributed to the fact they make it in fresh batches and it is not sitting on the shelf in the store or in a warehouse for a long time before it’s shipped out. It also helps in anti-aging, but like most anti-aging products I’ll let you know in 40 years if it worked in that regard.
Overall Thoughts
Whenever I look for a vitamin C I look for one that is an ascorbic acid that has Ferulic Acid and a vitamin E to stabilize the vitamin C and to increase its photoprotection. And, a vitamin C that absorbs quickly with a light watery texture. It’s suitable for all skin types, but if your skin is sensitive or if you are new to a l-ascorbic vitamin C then you might want to start slowly.

If you are in the US you can only buy Geek and Gorgeous from their online store https://geekandgorgeous.com/products/c-glow.
