If you love a sheer to-light coverage foundation that gives you a dewy glow then Neutrogena Sensitive Serum Foundation is a must-try in my latest review. Neutrogena is a brand that makes many quality skincare and makeup products that are wildly popular.
Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Serum Foundation Claims
According to their website the foundation, “skincare-infused foundation smooths, firms, and significantly reduces the appearance of wrinkles while increasing hydration for 24 hours”. I don’t have any wrinkles yet, so I am not sure about those claims. But, it was very hydrating.
Other claims from their website ( https://www.neutrogena.com/products/sensitive-skin-serum-foundation-with-moisturizing-vitamin-b5/6816050.html)
• Improve the look of skin with Neutrogena Healthy Skin® Sensitive Skin Serum Foundation.
• Suitable for sensitive skin, this serum-infused foundation doubles as skincare and makeup that provides sheer, natural, and buildable coverage.
• It blurs imperfections and the look of pores and is also designed to minimize the look of fine lines. The color-correcting, healthy glow liquid foundation goes on smoothly, leaving skin feeling soothed while visibly reducing redness.
• Light, natural and buildable coverage designed to blur imperfections and the look of pores.
Ingredients in Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Serum Foundation
Neutrogena says this foundation is, “Designed for sensitive skin with Pro-Vitamin B5 to be equal parts skincare and face makeup. Free of fragrance, dyes, parabens, phthalates, sulfates, and alcohol.”
I do enough proper skincare that I don’t care enough if a foundation is full of added skincare ingredients. I do like when it’s free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, and alcohol.
And, glycerin and panthenol are good skin-soothing ingredients.
My Experience with Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Serum Foundation
So, when I test foundations/tints, I test them out in 5 different ways- by themselves on clean skin, with moisturizer only, with my Smashbox Primerizer, with my Elta MD Clear SPF 46, and Skin 1004 Hyalulu -Cica SPF
For my skincare, I usually do the following before SPF and makeup. I apply fast-absorbing Vitamin C( l-ascorbic acid). If I am not in a rush I apply a lightweight moisturizer and let it sink in for 1 hour. But, if I am in a rush I just apply my SPF and let it sink in for 20 minutes.

How does it feel on the face? Hydrating. Very serum-like.
Clings to Dry Spots?– No

Different Application Methods
For most of the year, I use tretinoin which had made my face a dry face type. So, it’s very hard above all to find a foundation that doesn’t look dry. Also, I found all methods to prove long-lasting. I have a dry face type, so I don’t normally have problems with makeup not lasting long unless it transfers.
Bare Face: Sinks into the skin like skincare.Whether I rub it in like a serum or pat it with a sponge. Doesn’t cling to dry patches. It looks dewy and great.
Moisturizer-Sinks into the skin like skincare. And, looks extra dewy with moisturizer underneath and not drying.
Smashbox Primerizer– Looks amazing much like with the plain moisturizer.
Elta UV Clear 46 SPF– Still looks amazing. But, with this spf, there is a tad of dryness, and not as dewy.
Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum: This is a hydrating spf, so with this spf underneath it looks extra dewy.
Overall Thoughts
For me, the biggest two things with foundations are that they don’t set matte/look dry and that they don’t cling to dry spots. This foundation looks beautiful on my skin and is very skin-like. I feel like it could be almost a dupe for Mac Face and Body Sheer Radiance Foundation! It is on the light coverage side. I love it for everyday use or if I am running errands. This foundation feels like it’s high end skin tint for sure.
Would I recommend it? Yes
