I have tried a variety of acne dots on the market. Mostly all of them didn’t do anything much to diminish a blemish I had. But, that was before I tried Peace Out Healing Acne Dots. I always hated the word “pimple” with a passion. So, throughout my post, I will opt to use the pleasant sounding word blemish.
What does the Peace Out Acne Healing Dots do?
According to their website, the dots are “A breakthrough blemish-healing dot that’s the first of its kind to combine healing hydrocolloid technology with active anti-acne ingredients to minimize breakouts overnight. “
Ingredients in Peace Out Acne Healing Dots
-Hydrocolloid Dressing, Salicylic Acid, Vitamin A, Aloe Vera
-The dots contain the active Salicylic Acid- .05%
-hydrocolloid technology—a soothing, absorbent, waterproof bandage used for decades by doctors to speed skin healing. This innovative material gently extracts impurities, protects skin moisture, and creates a protective barrier against irritants. These dots are the first to combine the healing power of hydrocolloid bandages with active anti-acne ingredients. The addition of blemish-fighting extracts creates the ideal environment for speedy relief from breakouts.
How to use them
First wash your face and dry it well. Then, leave the patch on the blemish for at least 6 hours. I usually leave them on for as long as I can before I need to go out for the day.
There are only 20 dots in a package.
Do these acne healing dots work?
I don’t have heavy acne, but I do get the monthly blemish. I get a blemish from an SPF product that irritated my skin. But, half the time, the blemish leaves a scar and takes forever to go away. So, I tried these on a number of kinds of blemishes. I tried it on a blemish when I felt it starting to form before it came to a head. And, in the morning, the blemish was radically diminished.
Then, I tried it on a blemish that came to a head with the white part of a blemish showing, and it took away the blemish. What I love most about these acne dots is that they sped up the healing process, and I am not left with a blemish scar. I can’t help but pick at a blemish sometimes, but that often damages by skin or leaves a scar that takes forever to go away. By putting an acne dot on it, I have a way to protect my skin by not letting any dirt into the wound I touched. I have not tried this yet on any cystic blemish or whiteheads, but I feel like it would work wonders on it. It is not meant for blackheads.
Most importantly these dots don’t dry out your skin like most acne products. Many reviews I read before buying this product mentioned that the dots work best on blemishes that are already slightly open so the gunk can be pulled out. So far, this is a product I love and that I am impressed with after trying.
