The new sheet masks I tried out to review is by the brand Sweet Chef. Sweet Chef is a new sister skincare brand of the all popular Glow Recipe. Their new brand is sold at Target. Not only do they have face mask, but they have a line of serums as well. The line came out in January 2019 at Target, and their range of products continues to grow. I can’t wait to try their new face mist and moisturizer. At Target their line is classified as clean beauty which I am always a fan of nowadays. https://www.sweetchefskincare.com/

What it’s for: According to their website, it is meant to “instantly leaves your skin looking radiant and glowy — just the way we like our selfies. The potent blend of Ginger and powerful Vitamin C help fight environmental aggressors, revive dull skin, and even skin tone”
Key Ingredients in the Ginger + Vitamin C Sheet Mask
- Ginger- meant to revive dull skin. Has antioxidant properties that evens out skin tone for healthy-looking skin
- Vitamin C(ascorbic acid)- one of the most powerful forms of vitamin C. Vitamin C fights off premature aging, hyperpigmentation and leaves the skin with a glow.

My Experience with the Ginger + Vitamin C Sheet Mask
I enjoyed this masked. It has a refreshing ginger/citrus scent. It left my skin with a subtle glow, and my skin felt refreshed. I love that it had vitamin C in it, but for Vitamin C, I would stick to a Vitamin C serum. I think this would great to use before makeup if your face needs a pick me up. Although it claims to be hydrating, I didn’t find it to do an amazing job at hydrating my face.

My Experience with Kale + Vitamin B Fresh Pressed Sheet Mask
I am a sucker for any skincare item that uses kale as an ingredient. I took this mask on me on a recent trip to use at night after I got to my hotel. Iike to use a face mask after I get off a plane since the air on a plane dries out the skin. Their kale mask was super hydrating. When I woke up I still felt left over residue from the mask on my face.
So, while it didn’t all sink into my face it lived up to it’s claim of being hydrating. It did a great job at making my face plump and glowy. It is super hydrating due to Vitamin B. I would only use this as an overnight mask since it didn’t fully absorb into my skin. I think this mask would be amazing in the winter time or when your face needs real moisture after over using a retinol/tretinoin or any type of acids.
