Whenever I see an eye cream mention hyaluronic acid, I want to snap it up right away. First Aid Beauty came out this year with their Skin Lab Retinol Eye Cream with Triple Hyaluronic Acid. Now, I have been a FAB fan for many years. I have another post where I have a list of my favorite go-to products (https://ceciliasluxelife.comfirst-aid-beauty-review/). My face and under eyes are on the drier side. And, while I don’t have any wrinkles under my eyes other than the regular light lines that most people in their 20’s have I am always on the look out for anti-aging products.

First Aid Beauty Skin Lab Retinol Eye Cream with Triple Hyaluronic Acid – Ingredients
Upon first looking at the ingredients, I fell in love with everything. Most retinol creams I have tried so far have really dried out my under eyes. So all the ingredients in this eye cream lead me to believe my under eyes would feel very hydrated.
Here are the ingredients FAB highlights for the eye cream
• ( Microencapsulated Retinol) : It works to help support natural collagen production and cellular turnover to minimize the appearance of crow’s feet, fine lines, and wrinkles; delivers retinol over time making it safe to use around the eye area.
• (Triple Weight Hyaluronic Acid) : A powerful humectant in three molecular sizes, that helps boost skin’s moisture content, plump, and smooth skin on multiple levels.
• Micro-Pearls: Finely milled minerals with light-reflecting properties that amplify skin’s natural radiance for a beautifully luminous effect.
• FAB’s skin saver complex featuring colloidal oatmeal, allantoin, aloe, ceramides, and vitamins C and E to help calm and soothe even the most sensitive skin.
It is a clean beauty product and is free of the following : Alcohol, Artificial Colorants, Artificial Fragrance, Lanolin, Mineral Oil, Parabens, Petrolatum, Phthalates, Propylene Glycol, Sulfates, Talc, Formaldehydes, Oxybenzone, Coal Tar, Hydroquinone, Triclocarbon, Ethanol, Ethyl Alcohol, Denatured Alcohol, Methanol, N-Butyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Alcohol, SD Alcohol
My Experience
I used this eye cream for around two months. Now, I don’t have any wrinkles or crow’s feet. I was looking for something that was anti-aging and moisturizing.
What didn’t I like about the product? The most important thing for me is that I want my under eyes to feel super moisturized. And, after using it for two months my eyes didn’t feel super hydrated while using this product.
And, in the mornings they felt a bit drier than normal from using this product. I know retinol can be drying in general. But I thought with all the hydrating ingredients included it would make the product super hydrating for the under eyes. Another thing was that the teeny tiny lines I did have I felt where not improved at all.
What I liked about it? First, I loved that the tube it came in was very hygienic. I think eye creams in pot’s are not very hygienic most of the time. Plus, skincare products are more stable. I believe in tubes than pots since they aren’t exposed to air like pots. Second, I did not have any kind of allergic reaction to the cream. I mostly used it at night. Although when I used it in the morning, it sunk in fast so that I could apply makeup over it.
Last thoughts
So, for me, this eye cream didn’t work out. I am not sure if my eyes felt dry using this because of the retinol or because of one of the other ingredients. Again, maybe retinol eye products will always make my under eyes feel dry.
