I have a love for skin tints that promise a dewy glow, so I picked up the newest product from Huda Beauty called GloWish Multidew Skin Tint. I am a light coverage fan and love a dewy finish. My skin type is on the dry side from different actives I use, so it’s often hard for me to find a hydrating tint. I’ve been a long fan of Huda Beauty’s products but have never tried any of their base products. Currently, it’s $37 for 1.35 fl.oz

How Did Huda Glowish Multidew Skin Tint Work Out?
So, when I test foundations/tints, I test them out in 3 different ways- by itself on clean skin, with my Elta MD Clear SPF 46, and with my Smashbox Primerizer.
For my skincare, I usually do the following before SPF and makeup. I apply a fast-absorbing Vitamin C( l-ascorbic acid). If I am not in a rush I apply a light weight moisturizer, and let it sink in for 1 hour. But, if I am in a rush i just apply my SPF and let it sink in for 20 minutes.
My face type: Dry
Application– When it goes on, it doesn’t sink into the skin right away. So, I can’t rub it in. I found it works best with a beauty sponge as oppose to patting it on my face.
Finish: Overall, it does have a glowy finish! They named it well. On my face, though, it looks like an all-over highlighter glow as opposed to a luminous, dewy look.
Coverage: Light
Does it transfer?– No
Did it break you out?– No. I had no negative effects from using it. I rarely ever break out from using a product though.
Packaging– It’s in a pump, and it works well. I love when tints are in a squeeze tube so that I can be able to use up all of the product.
Shade: I got shade 1- Fair. I think if you are really fair skin this shade would be too dark for you. I wish they at least had a lighter shade option below Fair. Although sometimes they say for tints the perfect color match doesn’t matter as much as a foundation.
How does it feel on the face? It feels emollient and hydrating. For my dry skin needs, I would love it if it was more hydrating. But it doesn’t feel heavy on the face at all.
Clings to Dry Spots?– I have some dry patches, sometimes on one cheek( (literally, it’s always one side). And, I found that no matter how I prepped my skin beforehand, the skin tint did cling to a dry patch I had.
Long-Lasting?- I just got this in the summertime when it’s usually over 80 degrees outside! Currently, it does not last very long, and I find that the glow factor after a few hours isn’t there anymore. I think in the wintertime I will adore this more.
Other Uses?– If you don’t have a problem with dry patches and normal to dry skin/ combination skin, I can see this being great as a dewy primer.
Different Application Methods- Bare Face, Elta MD UV Clear SPF, and with my Smashbox Primerizer
Favorite Application Method– I feel this worked best on my face and didn’t cling so noticeably when I applied it over the Smashbox Primerizer.
Bare Face: When I applied it on bare skin, it clung to my dry patches a lot. So, I don’t think I would ever use it by itself on my skin.
SPF: When I applied it on top of my go-to Elta MD UV Clear SPF 46, it clung to my dry patches, but it wasn’t horrible. Also, when I had my SPF underneath the tint, it helped make my face even more dewier( Elta MD UV Clear SPF is a hydrating formula that is on the dewier side)
Do I recommend it?
I think if you are prone to dry patches on your face and have dehydrated skin from using actives, then no. But, if you have normal to dry or even combination skin, then I would think it may be a great fit! Everyone’s skin is different at different seasons.
