What is the Kevita’s Sparkling Probiotic Drink?
I have been drinking Kevita’s Probiotic Drink for the past four years. Kevita’s Probiotic drink is fermented with Kevita’s water kefir culture, and they claim it contains billions of live probiotic live cultures. Besides their probiotic drink they also have a line of kombucha( I don’t like kombucha in general), and apple cider vinegar tonics .
What is a Probiotic?
When it comes to probiotics we are talking about gut health and probiotics are in charge of keeping our digestive system working properly. Probiotics are good bacteria inside our body. Probiotics are live microorganisms that can be consumed through fermented foods. When we talk about gut health we have to think about what our guts do( those large/small intestines).
Our guts extract energy from food and absorb nutrients from our food and water. Another thing our gut does is get rid of waste. So, good bacteria helps us get nutrients from our food and support the walls of our intestines.

Ingredients
Most health drinks can be loaded with lots of sugar and ingredients that claim to be healthy but aren’t. Here is a list of their ingredients in their Strawberry Acai Coconut Probiotic Drink: “Sparkling Water, Water Kefir Culture (Water, Lactic Acid, Kefir Culture, Natural Flavor)*, Coconut Water Concentrate*, Apple Cider Vinegar*, Apple Juice Concentrate*, Strawberry Juice Concentrate*, Lactic Acid, Acai Puree*, Strawberry Flavor*, Bacillus coagulans GBI-30 6086, Fruit and Vegetable Juice For Color, Coconut Flavor*, Stevia Leaf Extract*, Natural Flavor, Lactobacillus plantarum. Contains coconut ingredients.”
Now to me all their ingredients are great and don’t cause concern. Also, I love that they use Stevia Leaf Extract and not another kind of sweetener.
A whole bottle of the Strawberry Acai coconut only has 40 calories, 10g of carbs, and 8g of sugar. So, for me all the nutritional states are great. I only drink half a bottle at a time instead of the whole bottle at once.
Would I recommend it?
Yes! I think it is a sweet and refreshing type of drink that aids in my digestive health. I don’t believe in taking supplements, and having a fresh probiotic drink is a great way to aid my gut health. On days that I have greek yogurt( which is another great source of probiotics) I typically don’t drink Kevita. But, I am not a fan of eating dairy often so that is when I love having my Kevita. Sometimes too much dairy in your diet might not be good for you. But, everyone’s bodies are different. My favorite two flavors are Strawberry Acai Coconut and Mango Coconut. But, there seven other flavors to choose from their line.
