Skin 1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum is a non-nano chemical sunscreen that blocks UV rays, while simultaneously hydrating the skin. Leaves skin with a moisturized, dewy finish. This year(2023) I decided to focus on Asian beauty sunscreens. I am trying to stay away from chemical SPFs made in the US and focus on mineral SPFs and Asian beauty chemical filters which are known to be better for the skin.

The Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-cica Water-fit Sun Serum SPF50+ Pa++++ uses all new generation chemical UV filters which are:
• Uvinal A Plus -Protects against UVA rays/ high UVA protection and high photostability
• Uvinul T 150 – Protects against UVB rays/highest photo-stable absorption of all available UVB filter
• Iscotrizinol – Protects against UVB and some UVA rays/ UVA II and UVB
• Tinosorb M – Protects against both UVA and UVB rays/ broad spectrum – highly photostable
It includes skincare ingredients with soothing , anti-acne, antioxidant, and brightening properties: Centella Asiatica Extract, Adenosine, Green Tea, Vitamin E, and Niacinamide.
How does the Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu- Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF 50+ PA++++ perform
• Protection: SPF50+ PA++++
• Texture: Most chemical sunscreens by nature tend to have a more spreadable and fast-sinking feeling. Skin 1004 spf’s feels very moisturizing and goes on like any face lotion/light cream. Applying 2 finger lengths of SPF doesn’t feel drying. It melts into the skin.
• Finish?: I have dry skin. This spf sets to a satin finish/semi-matte and has a nice sheen on the face.
• Work with Makeup? Yes. When I give my face 20 minutes to soak in the SPF then it works with most of my base products without pilling/getting patchy. It works great with my Mac Face and Body Sheer Radiance, Bare Minerals Powder Foundation, and Makeup Forever Reboot Foundation. It has the grip of a primer.
•Fragrance/Scent?: No.
•Does it contain alcohol?: No. It doesn’t contain any drying alcohol.
• Is it drying?- No, I don’t find drying.
• Does it sting the eyes?: No. I don’t put SPF near my eyes. I judge how an SPF stings my eyes when I wash my face. I don’t sweat so I don’t have issues with SPF going in my eyes.
• Does it leave a white cast? No. It rubs into the skin very nicely.
• Irritation or breakouts? No. I didn’t have breakouts while using it.

I love it this sunscreen. have only tried a handful of Asian Beauty spf’s so far, but this one is my favorite. When i use this spf my skin looks healthy when I use it due to the slight sheen it sets to and it is alcohol-free so it doesn’t dry out my face as the day goes on. It is a very popular and well-loved Korean sunscreen. And, I can’t wait to try more from the brand.
