Wet n Wild Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator Tinted Skin Veil Review

If you have dry skin while on tretinoin a new drugstore foundation you will adore Wet n Wild Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator Tinted Skin Veil that’s on my latest review lineup. Hydrating tints and foundations are my favorite product to find. I used this foundation throughout the past year and it is very versatile. It is more on the matte side, but with a dewy primer under it that can fix that issue.

Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator Tinted Skin Veil Claims

According to their website the foundation, “This tinted hydrator with hyaluronic acid and vegan squalane is a one-way ticket to quenched perfection! Our new Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator features buildable, sheer-to-medium coverage with a semi-matte finish for a naturally flawless and nourished glow. The lightweight and multipurpose formula delivers an instantly radiant and hydrated complexion in a range of versatile shades”

Ingredients in Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator Tinted Skin Veil

According to their website, the main two ingredients they highlight in the Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator are hyaluronic acid and vegan squalane. Hyaluronic acid and squalane help make your face feel more supple and hydrated. Normally, I don’t care that much about skincare in makeup, but if it’s a hydrating ingredient that is what I love.

My Experience with Wet n Wild Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator

So, when I test foundations/tints, I test them out in 5 different ways- by itself on clean skin, with moisturizer only, with my Smashbox Primerizer, with my Elta MD Clear SPF 46, and Skin 1004 Hyalulu -Cica SPF

Skincare: For my skincare, I usually do the following before SPF and makeup. I apply fast-absorbing Vitamin C( l-ascorbic acid). If I am not in a rush I apply a lightweight moisturizer and let it sink in for 1 hour. But, if I am in a rush I just apply my SPF and let it sink in for 20 minutes.

Different Application Methods

For most of the year, I use tretinoin which had made my face a dry face type. So, it’s very hard above all to find a foundation that doesn’t look dry. Also, I found all methods to prove long-lasting. I have a dry face type, so I don’t normally have problems with makeup not lasting long unless it transfers.

Bare Face: Doesn’t cling to dry spots, and sets matte.
Thin Moisturizer-Doesn’t cling to dry spots and sets more satin.
Smashbox Primerizer– Doesn’t cling to dry spots and sets dewy.
Elta UV Clear 46 SPF: Doesn’t cling to dry spots, but doesn’t set dewy. More satin finish.
Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum: It didn’t work with this SPF. It clung to dry spots and set very matte.

Overall Thoughts

For me, the biggest two things with foundations are that they don’t set matte/look dry and that they don’t cling to dry spots. This foundation looks beautiful on my skin and is very skin-like. It is slightly luminous on my face without anything underneath it. If I want more of a glow I can just add on a glowy primer under it. My face looks very healthy with it on and works at least with my elta spf. I tried this the same time as when I bought Makeup Forever Reboot Foundation (https://ceciliasluxelife.com/makeup-forever-reboot-foundation-review/ ) and, I got very similar results from both. And, it reminds me of Nars Tinted Moisturizer! I consider this tint as good as any other high-end tint I have tried.

Would I recommend it? Yes
